Located in Comus, Maryland, Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard brands its trio of Bordeaux style blends with the robust characters of classical mythology - EVOE!, the joyous cry of the ancient Bacchanalians at festivals honoring Bacchus, the god of wine; his wife Circe, the powerful 'daughter of the sun' who transforms mortals with her potions; and their son Comus, the god of revelry and merriment. The label designs set the figures at the pinnacle of the mountain, backed by the swirling milieu of their enchantments. The die-cut shape suggests an amphora vase, which typically held grapes or wine.
